02 Virtualization platform design & proposal

We propose a platform (VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V) along with a host, storage, and backup pattern design, complete with a written proposal before work begins.

03 Host/VM deployment & P2V migration

Virtualization hosts are installed, virtual machines are created, and old physical servers are converted to virtual form (P2V) within an agreed time window so operations aren't disrupted.

04 Monitoring/alerting setup & handover

We set up the monitoring system with alert thresholds, test notifications, then hand over documentation, administrator accounts, and a brief guide for your team.

Question iconHow many VMs can run on one server?

It depends on the server's specifications and the load of each VM. What usually matters is the number of CPU cores, memory (RAM) capacity, and storage speed — not just the number of VMs. A mid-range server can run anywhere from a few to dozens of lightweight VMs, while heavier applications need a larger share of resources. During the assessment we calculate the needs of each of your systems and leave capacity headroom so performance stays safe as load increases.

Question iconIs a VMware license mandatory?

No. VMware uses a paid licensing scheme, but alternatives such as Proxmox are open source and can be used without license fees, with an optional support subscription if needed. Hyper-V is also available if you're already using Windows Server. We help you compare the cost, features, and ease of maintenance of all three, then choose the one that best fits your situation and budget.

Question iconCan you migrate from a physical server to a virtual one?

Yes. This process is called P2V (physical-to-virtual): the contents of the physical server are copied into a virtual machine without reinstalling applications from scratch. We schedule the migration during off-peak hours, keep the old server as a fallback until the virtual version is proven to run normally, then move the workload over gradually so downtime risk stays low.
